Now, registering and identifying pets has become even easier. 1. Download the App To get started, download the "Pet Scanner by Animal ID" app. Scan the QR code inside the scanner box or use the provided link forIOS or Android. 2. Log In or Register - If you already have an Animal ID account, log in to the app. - If you're a new user, registration takes just a few seconds. 💡 Note: Achip Reader is designed for veterinarians and organizations. The "Pet Scanner by Animal ID" app does not include functionality for pet owners. If you are a pet owner, we recommend selecting the breeder profile during registration. 3. Activate the Scanner Press and hold the scanner button for 7 seconds until you hear a beep—this activates search mode. 4. Connect the Device - In the app, select "Add New Device". - When the message "New Device Found" appears, the scanner has been successfully connected. - To exit search mode, press the scanner button once. 5. Complete the Setup Tap "Continue" in the app—your scanner is now ready to use! 6. Perform the First Scan - Press the scanner button. - Hold the scanner near the pet's microchip. - Wait for the beep—this confirms that the scan was successful. 💡 If the scanner has no screen, data will appear in the app and in the Animal ID online account. 💡 If the scanner has a screen, it will immediately display the microchip number and temperature (if the microchip supports a temperature biosensor). 7. Temperature Measurement If your pet has atemperature microchip: - Scan the microchip using the scanner. - The temperature will be displayed on the scanner screen, in the app, and in the scan history in your online account. 8. Database Search Achip Reader automatically checks the microchip registration in: - Animal ID – allowing you to register or view the pet’s profile. - More than100 international registries – to help find the owner of a lost pet. If the microchip is registered, the owner will receive an email and push notification about the scan. 9. Finalizing Setup Your scanner is now fully operational! You can now use all its features. After scanning, the owner of a registered pet receives a notification in the app and via email.
